Nicholas Ecimu

Nicholas Ecimu is an established and highly regarded practitioner in the power and infrastructure sector (electricity, oil and gas and mining) with over 20 years’ experience.

Nicholas acts on the mandate of the worlds leading development financial institutions, governmental agencies, private infrastructure entities and project sponsors.

Nicholas’ experience covers all aspects of project structuring, project development, project finance, risk advisory and regulatory engagement and support.

Nicholas has been involved and has successfully led some of the most complex and high value transactions in Uganda including the USD 1.4 billion 600 MW Karuma hydro power dam (Uganda’s largest), legal feasibility study into the construction of the East Africa Crude oil export pipeline project and cross-border road and electricity transmission infrastructure projects. He is a trusted adviser to leading corporate entities and financial institutions because of his deep understanding of the power and infrastructure sector and “know-how”.
