Anita Nantale

Founding Partner, ALBA Advocates

Anita is a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer and Advocate with extensive experience in handling complex commercial transactions and cross-border deals. Her practice also spans commercial dispute resolution, where she has successfully employed alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, including arbitration, mediation and reconciliation to resolve commercial disputes across diverse sectors.

She is a Founding Partner and Head of the Commercial Practice Department at ALBA Advocates, where she provides strategic legal and transactional advice to both local and international clients. Anita previously served with key Government of Uganda institutions, including the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) and the Attorney General’s Chambers, where she gained invaluable public sector and regulatory experience.

Beyond her legal practice, Anita is a passionate advocate for women in the legal profession. She has served as Deputy Chairperson of the Female Lawyers Committee of the Uganda Law Society, through which she collaborated with the International Association of Women Judges – Uganda Chapter, and continues to mentor and support initiatives aimed at empowering female lawyers.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Uganda Christian University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.)
