High Court of Uganda, Certified Mediator, Arbitrator, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Muslim Arbitration and Mediation Centre Uganda (MAMC-U)
Zubedah Namugenyi, MCIArb is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda, Certified Mediator, Arbitrator, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Muslim Arbitration and Mediation Centre Uganda (MAMC-U). She is a passionate voice for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and a firm believer that justice should be accessible, humane, and centred on people, not processes.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre (LDC), a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management from the Uganda Management Institute (UMI), and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Oil and Gas from Uganda Christian University (UCU), she recently obtained a Certificate in Foreign Policy Executive Program from the American Centre, Kampala.
With over a decade on the Roll of Advocates, Zubedah bridges the worlds of litigation and ADR with rare balance resolving conflict with empathy while upholding the integrity of the law. A Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), she also serves on the Advisory Board of the Africa ADR Network.
As Chief Editor of The Legal Forte Newsletter, she uses storytelling and insight to simplify complex legal ideas, spotlight emerging ADR trends, and encourage young lawyers to find their voices in writing and thought leadership.
Beyond her titles, Zubedah is a mentor, writer, and personal development enthusiast dedicated to building inclusive justice systems across Uganda, Africa, and beyond. Through her ADR conversations where she has hosted Justices, scholars, and practitioners from around the world, she continues to champion dialogue as a bridge to understanding and fairness.
